Thoughts and musings from the Hill Mead KS2 All Stars!
On the trip to the Safari Park, I learnt that there are two different types of Rhino which are called the Black Rhino and White Rhino. You can tell the difference between them by the mouth because they both have different diets so they have different mouth
How many horns does a black rhino have compared to a white rhino.Did you remember how much tons a rhino weigh and how many kilometres per hour it runs.
What I learnt in safari park is when we saw the parot. The man told us that she had both special feathers and normale feathers. The other thing that I liked about the safari is when we saw the monkeys and their little babies running around. We even saw a monkey on a car
I learnt that a cheetah can camouflage to leap on their prey and that how zebras can stop their predators from eating them by being in a herd and scattering in directions
How does their camouflage help them to do this?
I learned than snakes don't have strate teeth like over reptiles they have curved teeth to hook on to there prey and they have their tough split because they can sense who or what it on the left or write
We learnt that there are different kinds of parrots and this parrot in the picture is the second largest parrot or bird.
On Friday,we went on a excellent ad enter to worburb Safari. We had to stay on the coach for 2hours. As we got to the safari park,we went to see our first few animals, which where a porcupine and a meerkat. The porcupine where hiding also the Meerkat where really fast. Unfortunly it started to rain so we got back in the coach and to see the dangerous animals like Lion,Giraffe and Wolfs and much more. After that we went back to school and it took a but more than 2hours it was a injoyable day.
That sounds like a very interesting trip year 5.
