i found that it had four holes 2 in the left and 2 at the right. It was hard at the bottom and it was very squishy in different places. I really did'n touching inside of the heart it was disgusting!
What I found surprising is that the lambs heart was the same size as my fist.I found that some the heart strings were very tough. When I was touching the heart the muscle was very hard.
What i found suprising was, that the lambs hearts is kind of sinmalar to our humans heart and the hearts strings are unbreakable and we had to use sissors to cut it! I spotted the veins and archerys which was very intresting to me as i havent seen anything like that before. i didnt know that the fat is white and the muscle was very tough!!!!
It was really fun and exicting when we saw the lamb's heart because I never imagined seeing a real life HEART! When we began to touch the heart our teacher cutted the heart in half then we saw a lot of different strings, and we throught it was there to hold the heart together when the blood is pumping out
I am surprised that the fat seems stronger than the muscle and that the heart strings are tough,I thought they were going to be weak.i was also surprised that the heart is as big as my WHOLE HAND.i was not expecting that.
We found four holes: two on the right side and two on the left. The lamb heart really smelled but it was really interesting to see. I would like to do more on heart. We saw a lot of strings and they were really strong I never thought that strings were that strong.
When we poured the fake blood inside the heart we found out that the ones with thick walls were arteries because blood came out of them. When the blood did not come out we realised it was a vein.
The lamb's heart smelled disgusting. If you pour fake blood into the artery and squeeze it it would come out. The vein is the opposite: the blood stays in.
We are learning about sicnce the title is the heart. We need a lot of blood because it gives energy. and the heart needs air That is why we are learning this.
It was surprising to find that the heartstring was tougher than all of us pulling it.

DeleteDid you know that pulmonary artery is a blood vessel?
ReplyDeleteI did! What is the difference between the pulmonary artery and the pulmonary vein?
DeleteWe need the heart to get energy.
ReplyDeleteYes! What does the blood carry around the body? It's something you breathe...
DeleteBlood carries oxygen around the body.
DeleteWhen we poured the fake blood inside the heart we found out that the ones with thick walls were arteries because blood came out of them. When the blood did not come out we realised it was a vein.
ReplyDeleteIt's very clever how that works! Can you remember how many arteries you found?
DeleteI think there were two arteries and two veins.
DeleteThe pulmonary vein is a large blood vessel that carries oxygenated blood.
ReplyDeleteIt is! Where does it carry the blood from and to?
DeleteI was surprised that the shape of the heart was not like I thought it was.
ReplyDeleteWhat shape did you expect?
DeleteI did not like pulling the heart string because it felt so disgusting, especially when I had to put my finger inside of it.
ReplyDeleteDid you manage to break one? How strong were they?
DeleteThe lamb's heart smelled disgusting. If you pour fake blood into the artery and squeeze it it would come out. The vein is the opposite: the blood stays in.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! Can you remember how many arteries there were?
DeleteI thought it was quite cool seeing and felling a real hart and knowing how it works.

I think that there are 4 Arteries.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure? There are 4 vessels but not all are arteries.
DeleteWe found out that the heart pumps blood all around the body from looking at the lamb's heart.
