What do you know about the Caribbean?
What are the most interesting, obscure, strange or funny facts you can find out about the 700 plus islands that make up the Caribbean?
Have you thought about books set in the Caribbean, the different countries and their histories, the animals and vegetation found there and the food and culture?

  1. African slaves were brought to the Caribbean to cut down sugar cane. Also, there are over 100 different types of butterflies in the Caribbean. There is a famous bird called the humming bird it got a doctor tale and it looks like a doctor vest. There also have a lot of beaches because the Caribbean is made up of 700 islands.

  2. The most important part of Barbados is Oystins because there are lots of traditional communities but the most busy part it the tourist part. Antigua has 300 different types of plants. In Panama they speak Spanish, my great grand Mother was from there. If you get ill Cuba has the best health care in the entire Caribbean.

  3. The most food they eat in Jamaica is jerk chicken because they find lots of chicken in there country.Even in the school they wack the children when they do not listen to the teacher or if they be silly.

Bob Marley and using bolt is also popular in Jamaica . All carribean is sorrunded by water and all carribean country's is very hot like Jamaica , Trinidad .

  6. In Jamaica They have a little of amount of food at school and if a child come and say I want more they will wack you.Even when your at school you shout and then you will hear a Eco then they answer.

  9. in school in the carabbean if there late to school they get exspelled or if you get in trobble they would make them walk back from were they came from evan if thet walked from far then come back to school and if you have bad languge they would get slap you with a cane.

    Languages spoken in Jamaica include Jamaican Patois and Jamaican English. Reggae music originated in Jamaica, home of well known musician Bob Marley.
