The home you had in the Tudor times very much depended on how much wealth you had. This meant that the way the rich and poor lived in their homes was very different.

Prisoners of the Tower

Before half term Year 4 visited the Tower of London to learn all about the prisoners kept there during the Tudor times. 

What type of prisoners were kept in The Tower of London? How were their conditions different to prisoners kept outside of the prison?

Think about what details you will need to include. At the tomb, in the churchyard, are three dead bodies: Romeo, Juliet and Paris. How will you report this scene? Will you interview Balthasar, Paris' servant, and what will he say?

At the family party, Paris tried to woo and win Juliet over.

What do you think Juliet thought of Paris and his efforts to romance her? 

Write a short paragraph in role as Juliet explaining how you felt when Paris came up to talk to you at the party.

Because there was no official police force during the Tudor times, the crime rate was very high. However, the punishments used to try to prevent crime were rather extreme!
